SPONSOR A HORSE

BECOME A DREAM RIDERS HERD HERO
You are here:

YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE

Happy, healthy horses are a huge part of what makes our program at Dream Riders successful. Sponsoring a horse is a unique opportunity to make a difference by directly helping a member of our therapeutic herd! Our horses have a very important job and many rely on maintenance medications and supplements in addition to normal upkeep expenses including feed, hay, farrier, dental and veterinary needs.

By becoming a Herd Hero, your donation dollars go directly towards the ongoing care of the horse of your choosing. Herd Hero sponsorships make great gifts to celebrate birthdays, holidays, and other special occasions. Not only is this a great gift idea, but a wonderful program for school kids, church groups, and business organizations! Pick your special horse and become part of this rewarding experience!

Sponsor a horse and become a Dream Riders Herd Hero!

100% of your sponsorship goes to the horses.

MOONPIE

Represents the “Little Guys”

Moonpie is proof that great things come in small packages.

Born in 2003, this Pinto Shetland Pony may stand just 11.2 hands tall, but his heart is absolutely enormous!

With plenty of spirit, a little speed, and a whole lot of charm, Moonpie has a special way of lifting anyone who needs a boost.

Moonpie is often the first horse new or nervous riders meet.

His patient, approachable nature helps children overcome fear and build confidence in a safe and supportive way.

With steady guidance and a touch of playful spirit, he transforms anxiety into accomplishment.

Before joining the Dream Riders family in 2019, Moonpie lived at a local ranch where he carried children in lessons and made people smile every day.

That joy-filled purpose continues here, where he builds confidence one small rider at a time.

Sponsor Moonpie and help provide the feed, veterinary care, farrier services, training, and equipment that keep this little hero doing BIG things.

REGGIE

Herd Leader

Reggie, our 15-hand Quarter Horse gelding, was born in 2002 and has served as a cornerstone of the Dream Riders program since 2019.

As herd boss of the pasture, Reggie plays a vital role in maintaining order and stability in both the herd and the arena.

Confident and attentive, he naturally leads the pack — always first through the gate and first to the hay pile.

His strong presence creates a sense of security for the other horses and for the riders who depend on him.

Reggie’s greatest strength is his steady temperament.

If you take the time to connect with him, you will discover a deeply dependable partner.

Through his leadership, Reggie teaches valuable lessons about trust, awareness, and responsibility.

Sponsorship of Reggie directly supports his feed, veterinary and farrier care, ongoing training, and equipment needs — helping him continue his important work as both protector and partner.

THOMAS

Nicknamed “Courage”

Born in 2004, Thomas is a remarkable blend of Appaloosa, Belgian, and Caspian—bringing together strength, endurance, and unique beauty in one unforgettable partner.

His striking red roan coat, dusted with colorful spots, reflects the influence of his Appaloosa heritage and makes him a standout in the herd.

Before joining our team in 2019, Thomas worked as an Amish cart horse, giving his strength and steady spirit to long days of hard labor.

When he first arrived, he carried the weight of that life with him.

But with patience, kindness, and time, Thomas began to show us who he truly is beneath the harness.

Affectionately nicknamed “Courage,” Thomas has walked an inspiring healing journey.

He reminds us that true strength isn’t about speed, flash, or recognition—it’s about showing up each day, remaining gentle, and learning to trust again after life has asked a lot of you.

His resilience speaks volumes without ever demanding attention.

Sponsoring Thomas means supporting second chances, quiet bravery, and the transformative power of compassion.

His story is proof that with patience and love, healing is possible—and that sometimes the bravest hearts are the gentlest ones.

Born in 2012, Niko is a proud Norwegian Fjord—one of the world’s oldest and most enduring horse breeds.

Recognized for their distinctive dun coloring, bold dorsal stripe, and upright two-toned mane, Fjords are admired for both their beauty and their unmatched reliability.

Niko carries all those qualities with quiet confidence.

Niko – Strength, Steadiness, and a Heart for His Kids

Since joining the Dream Riders family in 2018, Niko has taken his role to heart. Quite simply, he believes his kids deserve the very best.

He approaches each session with focus and intention, standing steady, moving thoughtfully, and offering his full attention to the rider on his back.

Fjords are described as having

“the strength of a draft horse in a smaller package,”

and Niko embodies that truth every day.

Compact yet powerful, he is strong enough to carry both physical and emotional weight.

His calm temperament and grounded presence create a safe space for growth.

The kids who partner with Niko arrive carrying worries, fears, and stories they’re still learning how to tell. Niko meets them without judgment.

Born in 2012, Sven is a striking Haflinger gelding whose presence is impossible to ignore.

With his signature golden coat, flowing flaxen mane, and expressive eyes, he embodies the classic beauty of the Haflinger breed—yet it’s his personality that truly sets him apart.

Beyond his show-ring beauty, Sven has a softer side.

Sweet as sugar with children and gentle in his interactions, he’s the kind of horse who builds confidence and creates lasting memories.

His curious nature and affectionate personality make him a barn favorite—turning heads with his beauty and melting hearts with his kindness.

Much like his namesake from Frozen, Sven is full of heart, a touch of sass, and always ready for the next adventure.

He brings energy, enthusiasm, and a spark of feistiness that make him exciting to ride and even more exciting to watch.

He may test your confidence with a playful toss of his head now and then, but when it’s time to shine, he rises to the occasion with reliability and focus.

Sponsoring Sven means supporting a horse who embodies spirit, beauty, and connection—qualities that leave a lasting impression both inside and outside the arena.

Born in 2004, Buddy is a noble Thoroughbred whose journey reflects both athletic excellence and extraordinary heart.

Before coming to Dream Riders, he lived a different life—thriving as a competitive jumper, soaring over fences with power, precision, and undeniable grace.

CLEM

The Youngster

Born in 2020 and welcomed into the Dream Riders family in 2024, Clem—short for Clementine—is a remarkable Norwegian Fjord with an old soul and a bright future.

As a member of one of the world’s oldest and purest breeds, Clem carries centuries of strength, versatility, and partnership in every step he takes.

The most striking feature of the Fjord is their unmistakable two-toned mane. The bold dark stripe running down the center, framed by lighter outer hairs.

Traditionally trimmed in an upright crescent, his mane showcases the dramatic contrast that turns heads wherever he goes.

Technically considered a pony by height, Clem is every bit a true horse in heart and capability.

He is strong enough to carry adults with ease and steady enough to build confidence in young riders.

Fjords are celebrated for their versatility—excelling in dressage, driving, trail riding, therapy work, and even jumping—and Clem is no exception.

His adaptable, willing nature makes him equally suited for meaningful therapeutic partnerships.

With his calm demeanor, natural athleticism, and unmistakable look, Clem represents resilience, reliability, and connection.

Sponsoring Clem means supporting tradition, strength, and heart—all wrapped in a uniquely beautiful package.
